Although it's not a 100% representation of the buildings, the textures choices and measurements give a very accurate impression of the real place. There are a lot of reasons for that, like performance. -The stairs to the Guest Wing should reach 6 more steps than they do in the map. This was learned after the stairs and most of the house was finished, so no changes were made. -The map was done with floorplans from the official webpage and about 250 photos found in the Internet. -Most of the paintings are actually the real ones found in the house, and their placement is also the real one. -The pictures in the living room are actually pictures of the Kaufmann family members. -The not so good performance of this map is a consequence of the water in the stream. Since this is an essential part of the house, it could not be altered. -The real house has several statues placed in strategic positions. These are absent in the map. -The map "credits" can be found close to the main fireplace, if you trigger a certain object. -There are parts of the map which should be more curved >> performance issues. -Some doors and doorframes were discarded because they didnt contribute to the experience of the map in a positve way. -Displacement surfaces might have errors. If you stick to the architectural part of the map, you'll probably won't see them. -This is the first Source map by this author that includes custom textures.They were added with Pakrat. -The vmf file for this map will probably never ever be released to the public. -A Half-life1 version will not be made, although the map was begun with Half-life1 -This map has give the author a new view of things, and his maps and university projects will probably be better thanks to this odyssey. -This map is not compiled with full VIS. Besides the fact that it would take ages to compile, running a full vis would not help performance much. It's a very open map and most of it is func_detail. The compile took 1 hour 36 minutes -Thanks to the members of TWHL for the help, positive comments and support. -Unlike the real building, does map will not fall because of structural problems :D
